Lloyd K. Johnson Foundation - 2009 Annual Report
2009 Grant recipients

Director's Summary

As we look back on 2009, we have much to celebrate at the Foundation! The Board of Directors approved the highest number of grants in our history 68! Funding awarded assisted projects small and large in each of our areas of interest with grant awards spread throughout our service areas.

Our scholarship program continued in Cook County for graduating seniors and we awarded three renewal scholarships to past scholarship recipients providing funding for an additional academic year at Lake Superior College.

We added a part-time administrative support staff, Nora Breems, to help keep Foundation operations running smoothly and efficiently and said good bye to long term Board member Betty Fitzgibbons while welcoming new board member Heidi Johnson.

In 2010 we look forward to finalizing our strategic plan and towards another year of supporting the wonderful work of nonprofits in our area!
