To begin the inquiry process, applicants must contact the Foundation to determine if the project is consistent with the Foundations goals and interests (218.726.9000 or email@example.com)
Applicants whose proposed projects fit the Foundations priorities and interests will be advised to submit the Letter of Intent form found on our website or available through the Foundation to determine eligibility and the extent to which the Foundations interests and funds permit consideration of a full proposal. After the Letter of Intent form is reviewed, applicants will be informed by Foundation staff whether a full proposal will be invited.
The Lloyd K. Johnson Foundation accepts the Letter of Intent form on a year-round basis. Full proposals $2,000 and over will be reviewed and approved by the Board of Directors at regularly scheduled Board meetings held in March, June, September and December. An applicant submitting a full proposal may expect a decision within three months after submittal. Short-form proposals for requests under $2,000 will be reviewed year-round with decisions made within two months.
