2008 Grants
2008 went down in history for many as the year that the economy began a sharp decline leading, to what some called, the “Great Recession.” Much wealth was lost affecting government, communities, individuals, nonprofit organizations and Foundations. The resulting new economic reality led many nonprofits to reevaluate priorities and begin the process of seeking creative solutions to the pressing issues faced in pursuit of their missions. As a Foundation we are acutely aware of the unique challenges of local nonprofits during difficult days. Through these challenging times, our mission to significantly improve the quality of life in North Shore communities remained strong.
